At our last status report (14Nov21), the Fully Vaccinated rate in the US was 59%, far less

than the percentage to achieve Herd Immunity (HI), ie., 70 – 90 percent. Achieving HI is key

to controlling this global pandemic along with mitigation efforts such as masking in crowded

spaces, etc.,

• 2 cases of a new variant, called Omicron has been confirmed in the UK; its origin is presumed to be from South Africa. As of this report, no confirmed cases in the US

• 35 thousand new cases of HIV occur each year
• 700 thousand AIDS related deaths has occurred in the US since this crisis began in the mid 1980s or about 35 years ago

• Roll-up your sleeves everybody and get vaccinated … if your child is eligible, get them vaccinated. If you are eligible for a booster … get your booster.
